What is a brand in Bottlebooks?

It's a distinct public identity where a collection of your products is shown under its own producer profile, such as logo, name and communication. Brand is what the consumer would think is the producer or winery and can often be referred as that in Bottlebooks.

In Bottlebooks, every unique brand profile needs a separate account and all your accounts can be managed with your current login (e-mail and password).

So, when do you need a separate account?

One account is enough if:

• Your products are all part of the same brand.
• You intend to show them under one producer identity.

Example:

Winemaker Wilhelm has created a Reserve Collection of wines. He wants the consumer to know that the Reserve Collection is from Weingut Wilhelm, like the rest of his wines.

You need a separate account if:

• You don't want the brand to be a part of the parent brand.
• The new brand has a different name or logo.
• You have a separate website or visual identity for the brand.

Example:

Chateaux Paris has created a new line of wines called OuiOuiOui for younger customers. Although they are made by the same company, at the same location, the producer does not want OuiOuiOui to be associated with the older, Chateaux Paris brand, and so they create a new account for OuiOuiOui on Bottlebooks. The Producer has setup two websites to denote this difference.

How is a Multi-Brand Producer setup?

If you are a producer that produces multiple brands, then you should setup yourself up as a Multi-Brand Producer.

A Multi-Brand account is an umbrella account for all your brands where you maintain and share all your products. Each brand has its own account.

Technically, the account is the same as an Importer, Exporter, Agent or Retailer. The only difference is that you will be able to control your brands.

Accounts can be for white-label brands, brands with the same name as the multi-brand producer, another brand owned by the multi-brand producer or even another brand from another producer.

How does a Multi-Brand Producer exchange information?

The Multi-Brand Producer account manages all the wine in a master portfolio.

These individual accounts are independent and can be controlled by you, meaning they can also share product information.

How do I setup a Multi-Brand account?

How do I update my brand name?

Brand names cannot be changed directly from within the app. To request a brand name change, please contact support via the chat or at support@bottlebooks.me.

When requesting a change to the brand name, keep in mind:

• Changing the name will update it across the entire platform, affecting all products listed under that brand.
• If you want to rename only part of your portfolio without affecting existing products, the alternative is to create a new brand account and, if needed, move the relevant products there.
• If you have multiple brands listed under incorrect names (e.g. duplicates), support can also merge them into a single brand with the correct name.
