How to Register Gift Packs

Because there is no universal standard for entering gift packs in standardized product databases, Bottlebooks has established a set of conventions in collaboration with retailers and distributors. These guidelines ensure consistency across platforms and help your products appear correctly in collections and online directories.



Gift Packs with Multiple Bottles


For gift packs containing more than one wine, add each individual wine separately. Then, create an additional entry to represent the gift pack as a whole, using the following approach:

Name

Use a descriptive name.

Most retailers will use their own name when publishing to their website.

Vintage

Enter "Non-vintage" unless all included wines are from the same vintage.

Alcohol

Enter the highest alcohol value among the wines included.

Varieties

Select the primary grape varieties.

Gift packs normally have a special section in online shops.Varieties are typically not used.

Country/Region

Enter the most appropriate option based on the wines.

Images

Upload an image of the gift pack/box, not the individual bottles.

Allergens

Combine all allergen information from the wines.If at least 1 wine has an allergen, declare it.

Organic/Biodynamic Certifications

Clarify with respective customer

Logistics Details

Enter details related to the gift box itself, not the bottles inside.

TARIC Code

Enter the most specific TARIC code that applies to all products.See EU TARIC code database.



Gift Pack with a Single Bottle


If your gift pack includes only one bottle, follow these instructions:

Enter 1.

Bottle GTIN

If GTIN of the bottle is the same as the case GTIN, mark the bottle as having no barcode.

Barcodes must be unique when submitted data to GS1.
