How to Replace or Add a Vintage in Your Registration

The vintage of your products cannot be edited directly, because each vintage must be a distinct product entry.

Bottlebooks makes it easy to create new vintages without having to re-enter data. In registrations, the process differs according to the type of registration you're completing: regular registration or product based request.

Regular Registration

During a regular registration, on Added products, you can:

  • Replace a vintage - This will remove the current vintage and replace it with the new one, keeping any details that typically stay the same across vintages (e.g. producer, wine name).
  • Add another vintage - This keeps the current vintage and adds the new one as an additional entry.

  1. Access your Event or Collection registration in Bottlebooks.
  2. Go to Products, on the left-hand menu.
  3. Find the wine you'd like to update, and click on More, beside its name.
  4. Select the option that best fits your needs.

Product Based Request

On a Product Based Request, with Matched products, you need to:

  1. Unmatch the old vintage, if it is Matched:

  1. Then, you need to click on Match product:

You will see this:

  1. From here, it's easier to click on Add from Portfolio. You will see this:

  1. In this example, the old vintage is right there. If not, you would search for it. Instead of selecting it, click on Add another vintage.
  2. Then, select the new vintage and make sure to tick the box, so that all of the common info between vintages is retained:

  1. After this, simply click on Continue and the product will be matched.
