Redirecting QR Codes for Global Compliance

E-labels designed for the European Union are not legal in countries like the US, Australia, or Brazil.

By default, Bottlebooks issues a warning to customers scanning from those locations, but you can also choose to redirect them to a different page, such as your website or another E-label.

Setting Target Countries

Before you redirect, it is important to note that you will be asked the countries you wish to have the e-label displayed in. It should be any country to market or sell your products.

As almost all fields in Bottlebooks are translated, we recommend picking all the European Union.

Redirect outside of the EU - global

You will then see the quick option to redirect outside of the EU.

Add the web address to where people should be redirected. Your global website is a good choice, but you can also enter a product specific link.

More Options - per country

Once you have created the E-label, you can go back to the e-label and fine tune the options setting redirects per country.
Open the E-Label you wish to edit.
Click on More Redirect Settings.

You will be taken to the QR code page, where you can setup Scanning Rules for each country.

How to Add a New Rule

Click on Add new rule.

You can choose to link the QR code to either an External URL or another E-Label.

Add the URL and click Continue.

Choose the countries or regions where this rule should apply.
Click Save.

Test Scanning Rules

To preview what customers will see in a given country:
Open the E-Label you wish to preview.
Click on More Redirect Settings.
On the right side of the page, use the country selector, above the mobile.
