Input Field Suggestions, Corrections and Validations

Bottlebooks forms include Suggestions, Corrections and Validations to help ensure that data is entered accurately and efficiently.

These indicators assist you throughout the form, particularly where structured or regulatory data is required.

Suggestions

Suggestions appear before the input field and are based on the information you’ve already provided along the form. They offer likely or recommended values to help you fill in data more quickly and consistently.

You can accept a suggestion with a single click. When accepted, it will replace any manual input in that field.

Corrections

Corrections appear after the input field and are triggered when the value you’ve entered is considered invalid. They indicate what needs to be changed or improved in order to meet formatting or content requirements.

This follows the natural top-to-bottom flow of data entry and helps prevent submission issues early on.

Validations

Bottlebooks will signal whenever a field is either incomplete or not filled out according to the standards.

You can check if all fields of a section are valid on the left hand menu:

Sections marked in green are complete and properly filled out, while sections marked in yellow are incomplete.

To find the fields that are causing the issues, click over the incomplete section and you will be taken there. The problematic fields will be clearly highlighted in red, with a brief description of why they are being flagged.

Examples:

  • The answer isn't valid because it does not comply with the set standards:

  • The field is not filled in:
