# How to Create a New Vintage

Bottlebooks does not allow you to edit the vintage because each vintage must be a distinct product entry, to avoid data mismatch.
When you need a different vintage, you need to create a different product. Bottlebooks takes into account that different vintages still have similar data, so we make it easy for you to create a new vintage.

1. In your **Portfolio**, find the outdated vintage and select the product.

| If you're looking for how to create a different vintage within a registration, please refer to [How to Replace or Add a Vintage in Your Registration](https://support.bottlebooks.me/en/article/how-to-replace-or-add-a-vintage-in-your-registration-171sx6g/).

2. Click on **Duplicate**.
3. On the drop-down menu, select the new vintage to be created.

4. Click on **Duplicate**.
5. The product will be duplicated, with the new vintage. You can review the data and edit anything that is not preserved from the previous vintage.
